Retractable fittings from Knick and Hellma’s spectroscopy probes UV/Vis/NIR and measurement cells are an integral part of modern process analytics technology. Optical spectroscopy helps to keep an eye on production processes and quality control.

The key to success is a precise yet robuhst spectroscopic interface through optical immersion probes that are integrated directly into the ongoing process and deliver relevant process data in real time from the measurement point. Although efficiency and quality improvements can already be successfully achieved at this point, the effect is noticeably improved with a retractable fitting.

A reference measurement, for example, can be carried out at any time during the ongoing process. The cleaning of a probe is possible in CIP mode (Cleaning in Place), meaning it can be cleaned on site without the need for time-consuming disassembly. During probe maintenance or exchange, the process does not need to be stopped. This improves the output of the plant and reduces waste through continuous process monitoring. The large variety of available process connections makes it possible to adapt the system to different conditions.
