The »Excalibur XP« process probe is the perfect choice when precision and reproducibility of measurement results are top priorities. It can be used for transmission measurements of liquids in a wide range of applications. This probe model is available in diameters 12, 20 mm and 25 mm.
The main areas of application for probes in the »Extremely Precise« category can be found in the chemical, petrochemical, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries. Frequent applications for this probe type include reaction tracking and concentration measurements of constituents.
The Hellma »Excalibur XP« can be installed in reactors as well as in pipelines. The Hellma Online Configurator allows and easy adaptation of the preconfigured basic version of the probe to individual process conditions, depending on the application. The probe is fully compatible with all common NIR spectrometers.
The Hellma » Excalibur XP « has an elastomer-sealed, monolithic measuring head made of quartz or sapphire, in which several functions are combined in one optical component by thermal bonding. Bonding is a unique Hellma technology. Transitions between the bonded components are no longer optically detectable resulting in a very high transmission and best reproducibility of measurement results. It also allows a very good transferability of the methods between several probes of the same design.
Precise and reproducible measurement results for challenging applications
The monolithic measuring head made of quartz or sapphire guarantees particularly reliable measurements due to stronger signals and thus a very high transmission. This ensures simple and accurate calibration.
Easy transferability of the models for simplified commissioning
The high reproducibility of the results ensures better transferability of the methods between identical probes. The Hellma "Excalibur XP" is constructed with standardized components from a modular system. The same optical design is also available for laboratory probes. This reduces the commissioning effort considerably and saves costs.
High adaptability of the products to a wide range of process conditions
The Hellma "Excalibur XP" can be installed in reactors as well as in pipelines. With the help of the Hellma Online Configurator, the pre-configured standard version of the probe can be easily adapted to individual process conditions depending on the application. The probe is fully compatible with all common NIR spectrometers.
Fast availability for higher process reliability and optimal plant efficiency
The components of this probe model are kept in stock. This ensures rapid availability The supply of spare parts is guaranteed. Repairs can be handled quickly.
Also available elektro-polished for better cleanability
For use on equipment requiring exceptional cleanliness, as is the case in a GMP regulated environment, this probe model is also available electropolished to reduce carryover.
If needed, constructed with highly robust materials
For most demanding process applications under extreme conditions, this probe is also available in sapphire or Hastelloy.
