Whether in quality control, production monitoring, or everyday laboratory work – precise measurement results are essential. While regular calibration is already standard practice for laboratory balances, it is still often overlooked when it comes to spectrophotometers: verifying the instrument to ensure accurate results! Yet according to DIN EN ISO 9001, spectrophotometers are also considered measuring instruments subject to mandatory calibration, and their accuracy and reliability must be regularly ensured.
To do this, measurement standards must be used that are traceable to national or international measurement standards. That’s why more and more laboratories rely on UV/Vis reference materials from Hellma to check their spectrophotometers easily and reliably.
To ensure consistently high measurement accuracy, these reference materials – as well as those from other manufacturers – can be tested and recalibrated in the Hellma calibration laboratory, which is accredited by DAkkS according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. The accreditation is valid for the scope defined in the annex of the accreditation certificate D-K-18752-01-00.
