Robust and highly precise Flow-Through Cell

For Spectroscopic Online Measurements of Gases and Liquids

Excalibur HD FCP Measurement Cell

For precise spectroscopic online measurement of gases and liquids under harsh process conditions

In the chemical, petrochemical, paint & coatings and agricultural industries, process optimization is playing an increasingly important role in ensuring competitiveness.

For the sustainable success of manufacturing companies within these industries, it is therefore necessary to continuously improve existing manufacturing processes in terms of process reliability, product quality and cost reduction. These are drivers for close-meshed process monitoring and control using online analytics, especially spectroscopic methods.

However, process conditions are often adverse and require measuring components that are not only robust but also fit into the overall system. Support comes here in the form of the »Excalibur HD FCP« measuring cell.

The uniquely robust stainless-steel measuring cell with metal seals, sapphire optics and inert gas filling, is universally safe to use up to a pressure of 250 bar as well as temperatures up to 300 °C, even in potentially explosive zones.

Robust and maintenance free, suitable for heavy duty use

Easy to integrate and compatible with all standard process spectrometers

Can be used in potentially explosive zones

Online measurements directly in the product flow or bypass

Spectroscopic UV, Vis or NIR online measurements in real time are standard in industrial process analytical technology (PAT). They provide data on the composition and quality of liquids and gases directly from the process flow or can be used for monitoring reactions in the bypass. Based on real-time data, the effects of process parameters on product quality or the performance of downstream processes can be reliably identified and quick decisions made for further improvements.

Exceptionally robust measurement cell for process use

The »Excalibur HD FCP« measurement cell is particularly pressure and temperature resistant (up to 250 bar / 300°C) by using wear-free metal seals and sapphire optics. Maintenance-related failures or downtimes are eliminated - process costs are reduced.

The measurement cell is filled with nitrogen. The slight overpressure and the presence of a second barrier prevent the medium from escaping. This means that the measurement cell is well equipped for use in demanding process environments.
